திருமலையில் இடம்பெறும் தமிழின அழிப்புக்கு துணைபோகும் ஐ.பி.சி ஊடகம்

தமிழ் ஊடகமான ஐ.பி.சி ஊடகம் சிறீலங்கா அரசுடன் இணைந்து தமிழ் மக்களுக்கு எதிரான இன அழிப்புக்கு திருமலையில் துணைபோவது தமிழ் மக்களிடம் பலத்த அதிர்ச்சியை ஏற்படுத்தியுள்ளது என தமிழ்நெற் செய்தி வெளியிட்டுள்ளது.

அதில் மேலும் தெரிவிக்கப்பட்டுள்ளதாவது:

ககன (Gagana.lk) என்ற தனது சிங்கள இணையத்தளம் ஊடாக ஐ.பி.சி இந்த தமிழின விரோத நடவடிக்கைகளில் ஈடுபட்டுவருகின்றது. சிங்கள மக்களின் நில அபகரிப்புக்கு எதிராக செயற்படும் தமிழ் இளைஞர்களை சிறீலங்கா புலனாய்வுத்துறையினருக்கு காட்டிக் கொடுக்கும் பணிகளை இந்த ஊடகம் மேற்கொண்டு வருவதாகவும் இதனால் சிறீலங்காவின் கட்டமைக்கப்பட்ட இன அழிப்புக்கு எதிராக குரல் கொடுக்கும் தமிழ் மக்கள் மிகவும் பாரதூரமான உயிர் அச்சுறுத்தல்களுக்கு உட்பட்டுள்ளதாகவும் தெரிவிக்கப்படுகின்றது.

முள்ளிவாய்க்கால் நிகழ்வுகளை தமது சமூகவலைத்தளங்களில் பதிவேற்றிய 3 செயற்பாட்டளர்களின் விபரங்களை ஐ.பி.சியின் சிங்கள சேவை வெளியிட்டுள்ளதுடன், அவர்கள் தீவரவாதத்தை வளர்ப்பதாகவும், விடுதi-லப்புலிகளுக்கு ஆதரவான புலம்பெயர் சமூகத்திடம் இருந்து பணத்தை பெறுவதாகவும் ஐ.பி.சி தெரிவித்துள்ளது.

திருமலை மாவட்டம் தெகிவத்தை கிராமத்தில் உள்ள சிங்கள கடும்போக்காளர்களுக்கும் தமிழ் இளைஞர்களுக்கும் காணி ஆக்கிரமிப்பு தொட-ர்பில் எழுந்த பிரச்சனைகளை தொடர்ந்தே அதில் ஈடுபட்ட தமிழ் இளைஞர்களை சிங்கள புலனாய்வாளர்களுக்கு காட்டிக் கொடுக்கும் பணிகளை ஐ.பி.சி மேற்கொண்டுள்ளது.

மூதூரில் உள்ள மீன்காமம் மற்றும் செருவெல தெகிவத்தை ஆகிய பிரதேசங்களில் உள்ள அபிராமி அம்மன் ஆலயத்திற்கு சொந்தமான காணியையே சிங்கள குடியேற்றவாசிகள் அபகரிக்க முயன்றிருந்தனர். அதனை தடுக்க முனைந்த தமிழ் இளைஞர்களுக்கும் சிங்களவர்களுக்கும் இடையில் மோதல்கள் இடம்பெற்றதுடன், மே 5 ஆம் நாள் அது சிறீலங்கா காவல்நிலையத்திலும் வழக்காக பதிவு செய்யப்பட்டிருந்தது.

அதன் பின்னர் சிங்களவர்கள் இந்த விடயத்தில் சிறீலங்கா புலனாய்வுத்துறையினரை துணைக்கு அழைத்திருந்தனர். அவர்கள் தமிழ் இளைஞர்களை குறிவைத்து வருகின்றனர்.

பல ஆயிரம் மக்கள் மே 18 நிகழ்வு தொடர்பில் தமது அஞ்சலிகளை தமது சமூகவலைத்தளங்களில் பதிவேற்றி பகிர்ந்து வருகின்றபோதும், காணிவிவகாரத்தில் ஈடுபட்ட இளைஞர்களை குறிவைத்து ஐ.பி.சி ஊடகம் சிங்களவர்களுக்கு ஆதரவாக செயற்பட்டுவருவது தமிழ் மக்களிடம் அதிர்ச்சியை ஏற்படுத்தியுள்ளது.

பிரித்தானியாவில் பதிவு செய்யப்பட்ட இந்த ஊடகம், கந்தையா பாஸ்கரன் என்பவரால் நிர்வகிக்கப்படுவதுடன், புலம்பெயர் வர்த்தக நிறுவனங்களின் நிதி பங்களிப்பில் இயங்கி வருவது இங்கு குறிப்பிடத்தக்கது.

IBC’s sister-media Gagana used to threaten Tamil villagers in Trinco on 18 May Remembrance[TamilNet, Tuesday, 19 May 2020, 16:23 GMT]A Sinhala-language news website, Gagana, owned by IBC Tamil Ltd., is being used in a campaign of reporting to prompt the intelligence wing of the occupying SL military to hunt down Tamil grassroots activists at Ki’li-veddi in Moothoor division of the Trincomalee district. A news item published in gaganga.lk with screenshots of social media messages supposedly shared in the accounts of three Tamils on the occasion of 18 May Mu’l’livaaykkaal Remembrance has put the lives of three persons, particularly one of them, in great danger, rights activists in Trincomalee said. The Sinhala ‘news’ accused the Tamil youth sharing the posts as promoters of “terrorism” through social media. It went further claiming that the Tamil youth were making money from “pro-LTTE Tamil diaspora.”

Gagana has put out seven screenshots of Facebook posts of three accounts.The news item was published after a recent dispute between hardline Sinhala colonists from Dehiwaththa village of Seruvila division situated along the south-western border of Moothoor division and the Tamil youth.
Around twelve Sinhala colonists from Dehiwaththa were trying to seize the lands that belong to Abiramy Amman temple located between Meankaamam in Moothoor and Dehiwaththa in Seruvila. The dispute ended in a clash and a police case on 05 May.
After the SL Police managed to calm down those involved in the conflict, hardline Sinhala colonists have found a new way to take the upper hand through engaging the military intelligence to target the Tamil youth who were active in defending the land rights.
While thousands of Tamils were sharing posts related to 18 May Remembrance, why did the gagana.lk report target three Tamils from a particular village and that too without fact-checking on the disputes prevailing on the ground, ask rights activists in Moothoor East.
It was shocking to see such a sinister news item appear in a media owned by Tamil, journalists in Colombo said. Tamil or non-Tamil, most of the media owned by actors with corporate interests behave the same way, they commented.
Gagana.lk is registered in the name of IBC Tamil Ltd in the domain name registry in Colombo.
IBC Tamil is owned and run by London Tamil Media Ltd., registered in the United Kingdom.
Amsterdam-based Baskaran Kandiah alias Karan is the chairman of IBC Tamil.
IBC Tamil is mainly dependent on advertisements from the Tamil diaspora business actors to sustain its operations including the media on the ground in the island such as gagana.lk, informed sources in Colombo said.
